Welcome to the Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre, a holistic vet practice.

Founded by Christopher Day in 1987, the AVMC is a centre of excellence for the delivery of holistic veterinary medicine: holistic, natural and alternative (complementary) medicine for animals of all species, breeds and types. Chris Day, Practice Principal, is a holistic vet, homeopathic vet, herbal vet and acupuncture vet of 35 years experience in the field.

At the AVMC, we have striven for more than 20 years for the well-being and welfare of our patients, offering a range of therapeutic options to suit the individual and circumstance.

We hold consultation sessions at the premises (usually on Mondays and Thursdays) and we travel widely in the UK on the other days, to visit animals, including horses, farm animals, dogs, cats, donkeys, goats and birds, at their home location.

We run a major information site at: www.alternativevet.org (back 'on air' - bigger and better).

Aromatherapy (essential oils)

The AVMC is run by Christopher Day, on the site of his parents' former mixed country practice.
